FAMILY PROMISE ANNUAL MEETING HIGHLIGHTS HOMELESS NEEDS IN PALM BEACH COUNTY.  100% increase of inquires from homeless families from 2011 to 2012.

 

(January 25, 2013, Delray Beach, FL) – Family Promise of SouthPalm BeachCounty, which helps local homeless families, shared 2012 results and 2013 goals during its January 15th annual business meeting, hosted by B’nai Torah Congregation in Boca Raton.  Supporters, volunteers and program graduates gathered to learn of the many services provided to children and families who are without a home.

BOCA RATON, FL, January 8, 2013 — “Dine for Promise,” an evening of fine food and fun, will be held Thursday, January 24 at Pavilion Grille in Boca Raton to benefit Family Promise of South Palm Beach County (www.familypromisespbc.org) and its mission to support local children and families who are in a homeless situation achieve a journey of independence.

(Delray Beach, March 26, 2012) What does a promise sound like?

To the more than 200 people clapping, tapping their feet, and swaying to the inspirational music, the first “Sounds of Promise” concert held Sunday afternoon, March 25th in the sun-filled sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church of Delray Beach was pure joy.

 

The musical event, sponsored by 12 local merchants and corporations, benefited Family Promise of South Palm Beach County, and featured talent from nine of its 24 participating interfaith congregations which provide safe clean shelter and nutritious meals to local children and their families who are homeless.

“Bring the Children Home” Event to Benefit South Palm Beach

County Affiliate

(Oct. 18, 2009) Karen Olson, founder of the Family Promise national network,

will be a featured speaker at the first anniversary benefit for Family Promise of

South Palm Beach County. The benefit is Nov. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Grand

Hall of the Boca Raton Museum of Art.

(June 18, 2010 – Delray Beach, FL) When families find themselves homeless,

they’re in a deep state of crisis. A local non-profit organization, Family Promise

of South Palm Beach County, teaches them life skills to begin anew in a monthslong

program. A donation by the Boca Raton-based Irving and Barbara C. Gutin

Foundation will now make it possible for that support to continue a year beyond

graduation from the program.

The three-year, $150,000 grant establishes a Mentoring Program that trains

volunteer mentors to become life coaches. Mentors will coach, support and

Family Promise to celebrate its second anniversary

(June 21, 2010) A local non-profit organization, Family Promise of South Palm

Beach County, will celebrate its second anniversary with a benefit at the Cultural

Arts Center in Boca Raton’s Mizner Park on Nov. 4 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Family Promise Board President Rev. Kathleen Gannon and local dignitaries will

speak. The Pine Crest String Players will perform. The event will be catered by

top Boca Raton restaurants, and wine is complimentary. A silent auction and raffle

will complete the evening.
